Few pens have survived as long in a virtually unchanged form as the Montblanc 146 LeGrand. A true classic, and icon of the fountain pen industry, this pen is a dream to use. Featuring a fine 14k gold, two-tone nib, the 146 writes in a smooth, self-assured manner, never hesitating, always laying down a beautiful line.
The piston filling mechanism is a lot of fun to use, but it also provides a large ink capacity and the reliability that German engineering is known for. Cosmetically, the pen is near mint, with only minor surface wear. The pen was made around 2012. It is from my personal collection.
I restored the pen to a camera-ready condition, including a thorough cleaning, piston lubrication, ink flow adjustment, and a nib tune-up. This pen will last for years and years, offering its new owner lots of pleasure, as only a great fountain pen can.
